Fleet Management Systems-2021 (FMS) — a conference organized by Scout for transport professionals implementing automation technologies in this field. And Scout has established itself as one of the leading players in the Russian market in the implementation and maintenance of corporate IT solutions.
Scout's goal was to outsource all the technical part of organizing the broadcast. That is, to our studio.
Our task ultimately was to implement the broadcast from A to Z.
Organization of Online Broadcast
Over the years of working in the market of online broadcasts, we have developed a stable and universal workflow for preparing live broadcasts.
In the case of FMS, we approached the task comprehensively. We developed on-air graphics: intro, lower thirds, transitions, and speaker bio bumpers — which were later used in promotional materials after the conference.
Choosing a platform for the online broadcast, we settled on FaceCast. We have been working with this service for a long time and appreciate its convenience for organizing 'private broadcasts' accessible only to certain participants via a personalized link. In our case, to those who paid for a ticket to the conference.
Work at the Venue
We conducted the online broadcast directly from our studio, where the conference hosts/moderators were located. We set up a set of video lights, a table, and bar stools for the hosts.
At the venue during the broadcast days, our studio team included: a video engineer, a broadcast director, and two operators. The video engineer connected remote speakers and displayed their presentations. The director managed shot changes and transmitted the video signal to the Facecast platform.
We also provided behind-the-scenes footage of the conference. And you can now watch the final video we made for them.
Result
It took us ten days to prepare for the broadcast, including all the above-mentioned items. The conference itself lasted one day, and the total filming duration was 4 hours.
All recordings from the conference were handed over to the client. They are now available to all FMS participants in their personal accounts on the event website.
