A premium product requires not just beautiful shots, but precise work with details, light and mood. In this case study, we show how it was createdfood photographyfor the Savini Tartufi brand — from idea and preparation to final shots that highlight the taste, texture and status of the product. We talk about the nuances we had to work with, what solutions allowed us to shoot everything in one day, and how visuals turn a product into an object of desire.

Price of creating food photos

Project goal:

We faced a precise and demanding task: to create premium-level visual content that would highlight the uniqueness of the Savini Tartufi product — peaches in truffle oil. It was necessary to convey the texture of the peaches, the shine of the oil and the gastronomic sophistication of the product, while maintaining frame purity and minimalism, so that the photos could be used for packaging, advertising and promotion on social networks.

The project had a number of limitations:shooting and content preparationhad to be completed in one day, with high quality requirements and careful handling of delicate and expensive ingredients. Every detail — lighting, composition and props — had to work towards creating the feeling of an expensive and well-thought-out gastronomic product without room for error.

Preparation:

During the preparation phase, a project team was formed: the coordinator was responsible for process organization and deadline control, the photographer for the visual solution and composition work, and the food stylist for product preparation and its ideal presentation in the frame.

The main difficulty was the delicacy of the product. Peaches quickly lose freshness and texture, so ingredients were purchased immediately before the shoot, and preparation and cutting were done a few minutes before the shot using special tools for careful work.

The selection of props required special attention. The studio compiled a list of dishes, backgrounds, decorative elements and greenery in advance, purchased and tested compositions to match the brand's premium visual style.

An equally important stage was working with light and composition. For this, test shots were taken, the position of light sources and reflectors was adjusted to emphasize the shine of the oil and the texture of the peaches without unnecessary glare.

Given the limited timeframe — one shooting day — a detailed scenario with priorities for angles and setups was prepared. This made it possible to minimize rearrangements, avoid product losses and achieve a high-quality result within the planned time.
