The annual symposium of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise “D.I. Mendeleev VNIIM” is an important scientific event that brings together specialists and researchers in the field of metrology. This year the event took place at the Azimut Hotel and traditionally included a series of reports and presentations by participants.
This project is of particular importance to us: “D.I. Mendeleev VNIIM” is our regular client, and we have been providing technical support for their events for many years. Each symposium becomes not only a work task, but also a confirmation of trust and stable partnership.
Goal:
Our team was tasked withorganizing a professional online broadcast, ensuring high quality video and audio recording of all reports and presentations by participants.
The client's key goals were:

- to preserve high-quality video materials for subsequent use in archives and presentations;
- to emphasize the prestige and status of the event through the professional level of technical implementation.
What we did:
For the successful implementation of the symposium, our team carried out a full cycle of preparation and technical support:
- Task setting and planning.
Together with the client, we determined the requirements for broadcasting and recording, and compiled a detailed script with timing for all presentations. - Team selection.The project involved a director, two camera operators, a sound engineer, a video conferencing engineer, a duty technician and a coordinator, which made it possible to distribute roles and ensure coordinated work of all specialists.
- Equipment installation and setup.
We deployed two professional cameras for shooting from different angles, installed studio-quality microphones from the venue, connected a director's broadcast control console for switching plans, inserting graphics and video materials in real time. A floor teleprompter and a professional mixing console were used for high-quality sound. - Technical rehearsals.
We conducted a test rehearsal of the broadcast, checked signal stability and interaction between all technical support groups. - Recording and broadcasting.
On the day of the event, we provided recording and online broadcast to the platform for participants, and a photographer also worked to document the event. - Challenges and solutions:
The main challenge was coordinating the work of all technical groups and the high responsibility for broadcast stability. These tasks were successfully solved thanks to clear communication, role distribution and pre-conducted test runs. - Quality assurance:
For reliable broadcasting, proven equipment was used, a script with timing was worked out in advance, and all information transmission channels were tested before the broadcast, which made it possible to hold the event without hiccups and failures.
