Euro-Conference: How We Conduct Educational Medical Broadcasts with CME Across Russia

Submit a request

Medical educational events require not just a high-quality broadcast. In this format, stable online streaming, correct presentation transmission, clear participant registration, attendance control for CME, and confident work with a professional audience of doctors are especially important.

We have been working withEuro-Conferencesince 2022. During this time, our team has conducted 24 educationalbroadcasts for doctorsand built a stable system of digital medical events — from landing pages and mailings to hybrid broadcasts and telebridges with the operating room.

Task

Our task was not just to conduct a few broadcasts, but to build a full-fledged system forconducting broadcasts of medical online events with CME point accrual. We needed to create a unified process: from the event page and registration to the broadcast, connecting remote speakers, monitoring viewer attendance, and obtaining final statistics for each participant.

At the same time, it was important to maintain high image and sound quality, correctly transmit medical presentations, and make the entire model scalable for continuous use.

What we took on

  • development of a universal event landing page with registration;
  • email mailings based on the client's database;
  • organization of medical broadcasts with remote speakers;
  • implementation of CME mechanics and viewer attendance control;
  • preparation of statistics for each participant;
  • conducting hybrid events and telebridges with the operating room.

How the work on the project went

The project quickly went beyond one-time events and turned into a well-coordinated system of educational broadcasts. For the client, we developed a universal page template that can be easily adapted to different dates, cities, and programs. Thanks to the modular structure, the page can be quickly updated for a specific event without a complete website overhaul.

We also implemented a convenient registration form and adapted the page for desktops and mobile devices. This simplified the participant's path to the broadcast and reduced the load on organizers on the day of the conference.

A separate block was built for working with the audience. We conducted email mailings based on the client's database, helped with registration and participant accounting, and then connected viewers to the broadcast through a clear and predictable scenario.

The broadcast part was designed for long presentations, complex professional content, and remote connections from different cities. We organized a series of broadcasts so that speakers and their presentations were transmitted in high quality, without loss of detail in medical materials. For medical conferences, this is critical: if slides have poorly readable data, graphs, or clinical images, the value of the online format drops sharply.

How the CME mechanics was implemented

One of the key tasks was correct handling of CME point accrual. We implemented a system for confirming viewer presence directly during the broadcast. Every 10 minutes, a banner appears in the player that the participant must close to confirm their presence.

Based on the number of confirmations, the actual viewing time is automatically calculated, and data for CME point accrual is generated. After the event, the client receives detailed statistics for each participant.

  • confirmation banner appears every 10 minutes;
  • the system automatically calculates the viewer's presence time;
  • at the end of the event, detailed statistics are generated for the client.

This approach makes conducting medical online conferences more transparent and convenient for both the organizer and the participants.

Hybrid events and telebridge with the operating room

In addition to the online format, we also conducted hybrid medical events for Euro-Conference in different cities of Russia. On-site, we worked with in-person speakers, provided filming and signal output to the broadcast, while simultaneously connecting remote speakers from other cities and merging all participants into a single broadcast.

One of the most challenging episodes of the project was the telebridge with the operating room. During one of the events, live video from the operating room was simultaneously broadcast to the conference hall and to the online player. The doctor commented on the procedure in real time, and viewers both in the hall and online could ask questions and receive answers during the broadcast.

This format requires particularly stable communication, precise video synchronization, and careful handling of medical content. This is exactly where the experience of a team that understands the specifics of medical broadcasts and knows how to work with complex formats is especially important.

Result

The main result of this case is that the project has become not a set of individual broadcasts, but a stable system. The client gained a technical partner with whom they can plan medical events on an ongoing basis, rather than rebuilding the process from scratch before each conference.

  • full cycle of conducting medical educational broadcasts turnkey;
  • clear mechanics for CME point accrual;
  • ability to conduct online and hybrid conferences across Russia;
  • experience in implementing complex formats, including telebridges with the operating room;
  • reliable system designed for long-term cooperation.
